Eco-dyed vintage silk cozies up to natural and undyed merino, alpaca, blue faced leicester and baby camel felt, shot through with cactus silk golden threads. Use the handmade, fallen branch chestnut button to wear it multiple ways, using the lace as a button hole. Either side provides a different look, wear it with the silk side up to showcase the layers or the other side for a more subtle side.
These pieces draw on a felting technique that creates delicate but sturdy frilly edges. The vintage textile used in these is a piece of a green vintage satin kurta, shot through with golden threads and an nubbly texture.

There’s something almost otherworldly about this delicate nuno felted wrap. It ripples and moves with 3-D leaves, roots , branches, and delicate swaths of eco-printed silk. There’s so many different ways to wear it, each one revealing a new perspective and detail.

Back when we could still travel and explore museums freely, I fell in love with a Frida Kahlo painting at the MNBAQ in Quebec City. This amazing painting inspired this shawl which is meant to convey a feeling of connection and unity, at time when we are feeling more disconnected than ever. The wrap’s foundation is a large piece of vintage silk and it is decorated with merino, silk and alpaca nuno felt.
